BIOGRAPHY
Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1997, the Greek-Cypriot soprano of Armenian heritage, began her musical studies at the age of five, playing the piano, which she continued studying until the age of 18. After having completed the scientific path in Lyceum with excellence, she started her undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. However, her passion was always music, so she decided to change path when she obtained a place to study at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance of London. It was only then when she had her first encounter with classical singing, studying with the soprano Joan Rodgers CBE. She continued her vocal studies in Rome with the baritone Romualdo Savastano, refining her technique. At the moment she is pursuing her performing career in Europe, including performances in Italy, Austria, Cyprus and the UK.
Her biggest inspiration are her roots, ranging from Greece to Armenia, Iran and Egypt and her home country, Cyprus, an island in the Mediterranean Sea. Cyprus lies between Europe and Asia, north of Africa and has always stood as a cultural, linguistic and historic crossroad between these three continents. Growing up in a place with such cultural richness, and in a family with a multicultural background, Eleni was given the opportunity and privilege to explore different types of traditional music.
